Tony sent over a couple more polished images for the San Diego book. They are both rather sweet, one has a sort of Tarzan kind of feeling, and the other kind of reminds me of something from the Dark Tower, if Roland had been a caveman. San Diego is rapidly approaching. I’m hopefully going to make the little handout books this weekend. Woot!

There is still a lot of fine tuning and writing that need to be done before Comic Con. It looks like now if we do show anything to anyone at Con it will be just concept and some writing. My feeling is that we should self publish it or put it online for free.

I finished the script for the first Rhet sequential about a week ago. Tony just sent over the first page of pencils for me to look at.
I had a couple of minor suggestions, but overall I think they look amazing!

The two of us are putting together a little promo book for San Diego Comic Con this year. It will contain some of Tony’s art and some of my writing about Rhet. If we have the time it will also have the first sequential Rhet story ever!!!

Rhet is coming…
So a while back (October 2006) I started working on this idea for a caveman story, called Rhet. Rhet is the name of the main character.
I started filling up a notebook of ideas for Rhet stories, timelines, character descriptions, small doodles of ideas barely visible in my brain. The notebook is almost full and I’ve emptied out everything that I had immediately in my head into the book. So I guess it is time to start writing the actual stories now.
I’ve been having a little trouble actually starting. Every time I try to script something I get this burning sensation in my stomach. Its a little strange. I got the sensation when I first started writing out ideas for Rhet. It was like the heat finally burst out, and I was finally able to write down everything, and everything came out all at once.
So for now, I’m waiting for this new warm bubble to burst.
